Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American actress singer and writer. As a child Sara was targeted for racial discrimination by many people in America. When she went to an event at school and was given high praise for her singing when she was in the ninth grade she began to feel more confident. The singer not only gained confidence from the experience, but she also changed career goals. When she was 22, she graduated from the New York's Julliard School. She began her career when she was 23 years old, appearing in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and The You've Got Mail film. In the Broadway version of the original show Spamalot She played The Lady of The Lake which won the Tony Award as well as the praise of critics. She gained more recognition when she appeared in Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. As a well-known singer, she also has released an album and a musical. As an activist, she works tirelessly in the cause of LGBT equality.
